An Encounter with ‘Canwekickit’

Last night I went to see the new Tron film at IMAX Carlton with my brother Jordan. Just chillin after the 9 to 5 grind, you know it goes.

I wish I could say it was worth the hype — but honestly, it fell flat. Beautiful visuals, sure, but the story felt hollow and dragged on longer than it needed to - But that ain’t my business, I’m no film critic. After the credits rolled, we stepped out expecting nothing more than the usual chatter and late-night tram sounds. Instead, we stumbled into something special — a circle of people dancing under the streetlights, music pumping through the cool night air.

They called themselves CanWeKickIt and man, these guys could move. Every step, every beat, every moment had energy — the kind that pulls you in before you even realise you’re nodding along. They were kind enough to let me film, and it turned into one of those rare moments where you forget about everything else. The movie might’ve been a miss, but the night was absolute gold.
