An Encounter with ‘Canwekickit’
What started as a night out to watch the new Tron at IMAX Carlton with my brother turned into something completely unexpected. The film missed the mark — but stepping outside, we found the CanWeKickIt crew lighting up the pavement with rhythm, energy and soul. They let me film, and for a moment, the night came alive in a way no movie could.
Tomoya Ogata for Act One
Working with Tomoya on the Act One teaser was about capturing his energy — honest, grounded, and always in motion.

Merak has shifted the way I see myself and what’s possible. What started as simple experiments has become a platform for culture, food, and connection. With Episode 3 on the horizon featuring Sal — the “lebo Martha Stewart” — this is only the beginning.
